Utilising the principles learned in a career in print publishing, I led a series of key transformation projects in the online space, including implementing a plan for the rationalisation of Government websites that led to over 200 closures of surplus or duplicate sites. I have also overseen the transition to use of open source CMS systems better placed to cope with the 24 hour, 7 day week requirement for content supervision.

In relaunching nsw.gov.au I established the key principles of customer focus that are central to all our thinking. The relaunch of the site also proved that building sites can be inexpensive, particularly if the site also foreshadows the closure of smaller, ineffective legacy sites.
