Digital Feng Shui.

Have been working recently on ideas to help departments cut through some of the digital “clutter” and refocus on the alignment of their communications strategy with their business objectives. The result is the Triple C Digital Audit, a simple process where with access to your systems and processes, I can quickly diagnose ways to improve your effectiveness and save some money.

Uniquely, in the Digital Age, most departments have built too many digital channels with a multiplicity of legacy websites, Facebook pages, apps and the like all forming part of a disconnected publishing portfolio. As a result, community engagement is hindered with customers and stakeholders often unsure where to go. Plus there’s always a risk that one website or channel says one thing and another says something different. Not good.

In my experience, stopping for a moment to turn the focus back to the orthodox marketing mantras of “Why are we here” and “What are we trying to achieve”, quickly leads teams to see how in this multi-channel, always on, 24/7 world, it’s easy to fall into the trap of trying to serve everyone and in the process not being heard by anyone.

The Triple C Digital Audit is an independent and agnostic review of all your current systems, channels and processes. Rather than getting stuck in deciding which websites to close, it instead helps to focus the mind on what outcomes you are trying to achieve and simpler ways to get there. Often you already have the tools. With access to your policies, processes and systems, I can have tailored and actionable recommendations, designed for presentation to the Secretary, sitting on your desk within a week.
It’s akin to inviting a Feng Shui expert to de-clutter your home. But better and not half as expensive.
